Maciej Fortuna Trio is the band led by one of the most characteristic artist of Polish jazz, wchich has been performing for many years. The concept of the band's sound is grounded in the mainstream of European improvised music, but in the same time adding electronic components as a part of constant idea.

JAZZ is the first album by Maciej Fortuna Trio recorded by the new/old line-up featuring Frank Parker, one of the original members of the trio, and an outstanding musician and bassist Jakub Mielcarek. The album brings a contemporary European perspective on the genre that lately has been becoming increasingly rigid and, therefore, historical. Strong rhythms, funky grooves, and a wide range of electronic references – all this put into the service of good old jazz, which deserves some help breaking through to modern audiences...

Maciej Fortuna - Polish trumpeter, jazz composer and music producer. Ph.D. in Musical Arts and M.A. in Law. One of the most active Polish jazz trumpeters of the young generation. His work includes several entirely original albums such as Maciej Fortuna Trio: Sahjia, Solar Ring, At Home, among others. Together with his bands, he gives concerts all around the world. He constantly explores new musical paths. Besides creating his own language of musical expression and expanding his instrument's sound palette, he also experiments with live electronics and electronic sound processing. He creates and directs multimedia concerts and video productions. He teaches at the Ignacy Jan Paderewski Academy of Music in Poznań. He manages his own label Fortuna Music.
Jakub Mielcarek - double-bass player, studied at the Jazz Institute at the Katowice Music Academy. He moves in different musical styles, from mainstream through free jazz to world and ethnic music. At his young age, he has already received a Złote Gęśle prize for the best instrumentalist (2009) and a distinction at the New Tradition folk music festival (2012).
Frank Parker - excellent drummer and music producer from Chicago. While still pursuing his studies at the Western Illinois University, he made two original recordings - Jazz At The Crossroads (1992) and The Third Degree (1994), one of which was nominated for Grammy. He regularly collaborates with prominent musicians from across the globe.
